Howdy All:

I keep looking at this auction for these seats. And I don't think I will bid on them as they are in Arkansas and shipping would probably be a bunch.

But what do you guys think? My thoughts tell me that I really do not need leather and with the total cost of this auction with shipping and all I could get a FSTB, CAI, RSB and a Y-pipe. I think in the long run the performance gains would be enjoyed much more. Plus leather is cold in the winter.

So I would appreciate any of your thoughts and hopefully one of you might be able to use the seats.

Best regards,

tony

Personally I'm not a big fan of leather, so I would go w/ the performance

Yuk. They are beige. I like leather interiors, but not beige. You'd be better off with the performance mods.

One more thing, leather burns in the summer...especially after you return to your car after having parked for an hour or two under the sun....but then again, leather looks way more classier than cloth.

Leather is nice.

But I wouldn't trade any of my mods for it.
You caould suck the leather the Bose the cool gauges before I give up any of my mods. -FSTB, RSB, Wheels .
I trade my leather in in a second for more performance stuff. And the car will still look cool.

Performance! I got the factory leather in my '96 SE. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't get it. Specially if you live down in the South like me. Be careful when you wear shorts in the summer!

Re: auctions is over, get the mods

If everybody hates leather, I will trade somebody my seats for their leather ones, plus some cash of course.

new leather

Ryan, your back seats look like they're still virgins. Does anybody sit in your car?

leather

Leather is an option ( in my opinion ) that you should decide if you want it before you buy the car. If I were you I would just do other mod's and then during that time always keep your eyes open for a really good deal on leather. I saw a brand new black leather trim for a 96 maxima sell for $500 on e-bay... I was even thinking of buying it and saving it till I needed it or wanted the change to brand new leather. I have black leather now and the guy who had it before me conditioned it every 2 months, I clean and condition it every week just because I want it to look nice. Before you get leather though I would highly suggest in getting tints because then if you do go to leather then the sun won't kill your leather as fast, plus the tints block out a lot of the sun so your seats aren't as blazing hot in the summer.
