Can I paint the top of the engines>..>

Hello, I want to know if it would harm painting the intake on top of the engine, and the engine around the spark plug cover. Basicly the whole top engine part.Thanks.

i painted the plastic over the valve cover as well as the actual metal valve cover itself with $4.32 paint from pepboys, just make sure you get heat paint that is made to stand, its called engine enamel i believe
