I was wondering who would have the better end in a race, a stock 97 auto or stock 01 accord 4dr v6?

I mean, the automatic transmission on the maxima is significantly slower than the manual. Now, if you doctored up your auto to run like a true sports auto, then you would rape him.

As of now, you will just win. (unless of course you get scared and floor the brake instead of the gas.)

 

your automagic will hang with an auto accord and not only will you hang you will beat him hands down. accords are slow. Just be sure to power break and you will beat him by three carlengths instead of two and half. plus you have an intake so not only will u beat him your car will sound cool too.

 

Actually. The 0-60s are the same. The 1/4s on the Maxima are slightly better thought, 16.0 vs. 15.8.

Actually, a 97 auto will be even with a 2k1 Accord V6. Pretty dead even in fact. It will depend more on driver reaction times than how fast each car is. Don't listen to those who say that a Maxima will kill an Accord. A 5-spd Maxima, yes, an auto, dead even.
