I was just wondering if the 4th and 5th gen MAX that we have in the US are exclusive for North America only?
In South America, Asia (if I remember well), and NZ the MAX is actually the I30 that we have in the US...does anyone knows why Nissan did this?? Is it because Infiniti is more mainstream in the US than other parts of the world??

yes i believe that the max in N america is the only one that look like it. Yes everywhere else it is known as a cerfio(aka I30).i guess they did this so they could compete in the market with like lexus, acura, and many more. Infiniti is also in the middle east. Infiniti in the middle east has 2 cars, the Q45 and QX4. I THINK in japan they sell the cima(aka Q45) as an Infiniti, i am not sure though.

when i went on a cruise last week this is what the maxima looked like over in aruba. also the a 2000 maxima was the same as our i30 as well... the only thing was the wheels they used on what would have been our i30 t were the 16inch wheels from a 240sx with 215/55/16 tires of course..

I believe the Cima in Japan is the Q45 in US.
Actually, in Chile the Maxima is called the Maxima
I still think is kind of silly to have a Maxima body for N america and another one for the rest of the world....
Nissan wasn't in very good shape to do something like that...
