Anyone seen pics of these on a 4th Gen? I'm thinking of getting a set for my 98 GLE. I've seen lotsa cool pics from ya guys with 17s, but no 18s? What's up with that! heh

I've searched the web and this forum in search of info on 18x8s, but no one has written anything anywhere from what I've seen, so I wanted some input first. I'm still stuck on stock rims I've had since I got the car new. I guess it ain't the lightest tire at 25 lbs, but I figure it should weigh about the same as my stock rims/tires.

Sweet picture! I'm thinking I need 18s now, heh. Now for the barrage of questions:

What tire size and brand did you get?

How does the ride compare with 17s or stock (if you ever had either)? Does the wheel/tire combo feel heavy to you?(I'm stuck on stock 15s right now)

The Konig label on the wheel sorta annoys me, even though it is rather small, is there any way to remove it?

And where did you buy it from/price/etc?

I got them from discount tire direct.. same place you got the quote?!..... 18's are good looking.. rides okay.. and handling is nice.. however tires are expensive.. I have Pirelli P7000 Super Sport (as noted in my previous msg).. they are 235/40/18

I was about to get them, but a man I knew had them first (Joel R.I.P.). I was then gonna go with the Konig Caffeines and then realized they've been since almost 1997 just like the Tantrums, so I ended up buying the 18"x8" Konig Verdicts in silver. I have got any tires yet, and now contemplating about getting them in the Black Opal finish. If you want them, I'm willing to sell you mine NEW for $1000 + shipping. I doubt you'll take them, but that's okay, just wanted to post the info.
