Is the Dry NOS kit really that bad?

I have heard alot of opinions on the Dry manifold Kit that NOS offers. Is this really a bad kit? Is there A LOT more of a risk runnin that as compared to the Wet Kit?

I don't know where you get your info, but it's wrong. The dry kit is safer than the wet setup since the fuel delivery is more efficient and safer since it's from the injectors. Since each cylinder gets a constant and equal fuel delivery, there's less chance for detonation in the latter two cylinders which are the furthest back in the manifold. A wet setup tends to give more fuel to the first several cylinders unless you do a direct port.

Amen to that.

The dry kit is teh safest kit to run. Less tuning and less room for error. With dry, it snothign but 2 jets, 1 for gas (main fuel line) and 1 jet for NOS. THe wet requires some more tuning with the jets. You need equal gas and NOS for each cylinder. IF that doenst happen, your gunna fry something.

Ditto on the above, but when you start to go to the "insane" levels of nitrous, 100hp+, a profogger wet system is advisable. A pro fogger system has a seperate nozzle per intake runner that injects nitrous and fuel together. 1MAX2NV has this system installed on his Max, its very nice!

Bot for the entry level nitrous applications under 100hp the dry is, WITH OUT A DOUBT, the way to go!

Thanks guys. I am having one of the best guys in Austin here to help me with the install. He has done more N2O installs than I am sure he can count.

The biggest worry is gunna come by ways of the tranny. If it goes, I am sure I will have funds to get another one, but if and only if it goes, the N2O kit is coming back out.

Monday will consist of getting a set of colder range plugs, NGK as well, a 300ZX Fuel Filter, and maybe a 300ZX fuel pump, tho I doubt I need it. Tranny cooler will go on this Sunday. I will also be getting a Window Switch, (MSD), and a switch to replace the full throttle switch, (what is it called?) I might just order a remote bottle opener as well. Beats having to reach thru the backseat and open the bottle.

Immidiately after the kit is installed, and tested as well as tuned, I am off to the Dyno across the street from where it will be installed.
