You are the MAN!

I think I am going to do that to the other part of the lense as well. I would want them to match.

I cleared out my tails this weekend and they look good but don't quite match the inside ones. I thought about doing them but decided to save them for another day. I guess they would work the same, has anyone done it?

All you really have to do is take your time. Don't rush anything. If you do the clears, do the ones on the decklid also. They won't match, and I am kinda **** about that stuff.

When I did mine, I chipped 2 small peices about 1" each. Really made me angry. And then when I was trying to cut the florescent cover, I just couldnt do it. It kept braking so I decided I would be different, I painted the inside of the light chrome, and left it solid clear where you can see the bulb. I did the same to the reverse lights. I like it and it is different. Took me about 3 hrs to do it all.

If I wanted to practice first how much do you think a Junkyard or someone would charge for the lenses. That way if it came out good I could just put it on and not worry about it or anything. Is this the same thing that people on like ebay or whatever charge $180 for?

to cut the plastic without cracking the lense, use the heat gun to warm up the plastic sheet first. They you can use an iron solder, scissors, or exacto-knife works also. As long as the plastic is warm, it'll cut like paper.

Do you happen to have any pictures of your tails?

Cutting out the piece to fit was the hardest part for me. I tried heating it up but when I heated mine up it cut fine but then the edges got all messed up and shrank a little from the heat. I found the best way was to take a utility knife and score it 10-15 times and then bend the cover and it will snap giving you a clean edge. If you don't get a good edge try scoring it more.
