hey i noticed that some of u guys have eyebrows..how did u get them? did u make them or buy them? theonly thing i can think of doing would be to order some black outs and cut them but that seems like a lot of material going to waste..

People buy clear headlight covers and have a black line painted on the top of them.

They are not sold in stores though, they are homemade.

Yea, they're just clear GTS headlight covers that people mask off and paint with body color paint. You can find some "How To" instructions on Chestons site "www.maximdriver.com".

this reason the method that you mention is not a good idea is because you have the little bumps on the headlights and they make it look ugly... the clear headlight covers smooth things out.

Hey, I just noticed that. Looks like an auto by the size of the dash shift frame around it and the button on the top of the shifter. Is it an auto?

Shift boot

Heres another pic if it. yep its an auto. what I did was installed a shift boot to it using any type of shift boot. I also still have my o/d function by wiring it to a switch which is mounted on the other side of the boot. if you are interested in how to do this then I will post instructions. later.

Shift boot

its not really that hard to put on. here are my instructions. Sorry if its confusing to follow because Im kinda tired at the moment so ask me any questions if you need to.

please note that if you do this mod then know that you will now not be able to see the letters so you must know your gears and know where your shifter is at so you wont put it in reverse when trying to park or something.

First buy a switch for the o/d,auto shift ****, universal boot with elastic string bottom.

any on/off switch will do. I chose a toggle switch because it looked better to me but a rocker switch would also be ok.
I bought a universal 2-tone shifter boot. mine has an elastic string bottom and a velcro/tie string on the top.

step1: remove old shifter(refer to chestons site) and also cutting the o/d wires off keeping them long as possible.

step2: remove console frame by carefully prying it off(there are 4 tabs- one at each corner. you might need to open the ash tray to get to one of them)

step3: get two wires about a foot long and connect them to the o/d wires so you have more length to reach your switch.
I chose to mount the switch on the shift console frame so I had to cut a small hole to mount.

step4: take your shift boot and unstitch part of the stitching at the bottom so you can cut the elastic string. Just cut the string LEAVE the string on the boot it helps keep the boot secure when it's installed. After putting on your shifter ****, slide the boot over the **** and stretch the bottom of the boot to the base of the shifter(there will be a rectangle frame thing where you can stretch over and it will stay on). You can now put the console frame back with the shifter in 1st gear so there will be enough slack to freely move through all gears with the boot on. Thats it. check o/d functions.

All this talk about eyebrows, I think it jinxed me. I was out washing the car today and when I went to remove the headlight covers from the car, I accidentally pulled from the wrong end and cracked my passenger side cover. It's not too noticeable, but I guess it just bothers me knowing I had for only about a month with no scratches or nothing. The crack is right between the corner and the headlight lamps so it doesn't look too horrible.
