Is it a good idea to install sprint 2.0" on my 95 maxima gle, WITH STOCK STRUTS (113,000 Mi.)? Has anyone done this before? What kind of ride quality does sprints have with factory struts?
thanks

As I've been told a million times, the stock struts won't last more than a month with Sprints or basically any lowering springs, so its best to just replace the struts with Koni's (Tokico's or KYB's if you prefer, but those are usually used with Eibach and H&R Springs) when you change out the springs.

Bounce bounce bounce

Of course I bounce bounce with Tokicos. Gotta get Konis or AGXs with Sprints.

With that many miles, you should replace the struts and any parts that need replacing in the strut assembly. My Max has 90,000 miles and the struts are wasted, also the boots are all ripped, no telling what else in there needs to be replaced. Im lowering my car soon, have eibachs and konis in the garage. If you replace everything the first time you save time, or money if you're paying someone to do it.

generally how much clearance do you loose when you put lowering springs on it
and if youve got a lip youve already lost some more speed bumps are already murderous for the car springs would make it impossible to go over them

Replace the shock and struts when you put on the springs. They are gonna charge you labor to take them off and put the springs on. Save some money and do it all at one time.
