Hi folks,

I'm interested in putting fog lights on my '98 GXE.

Thing is, I don't want to add the Nissan package (which comes out to around C$450 in my area) - I'm still not sure I understand how the altered foglight switch works. What I want is a system that turns on my foglights when my regular headlights come on (maybe also when the parking lights are activated) but not on when the headlights are on.

I already have the relevant switches on my light control, so what I'm thinking is getting an adequate set of fog lights and somehow manipulating the wiring to do what I want. The last thing I want to do is change out the light switch control, too.

Is this feasible? If it's too much of a hassle, I'd certainly be able to live without them... if they didn't look so cool.

Call them up if you choose...they are helpful. The brand they deal with is Hella. Like PIAA, they sell quality stuff...if not better. But unlike PIAA, they don't inflate their prices just for the riceboy market. Hella is a company that caters to OEM applications and real enthusuiasts and their performance applications.
