Problem starting car when on E ??

My last two tanks of gas i let go down to the E and ive had the same problem with both tanks...when i get down that low its almost like my car doesnt want to start..even when its warm..it taked only 2 tries to start it but it always carnks over on the first..then i put gas in it and it cranks on the first every time ??

solution:

fill your tank earlier. I've had my Max for 2 years, and I've never had less than a 1/4 tank.

Unless you have an electric Maxima I am pretty sure the gas makes it run I'm not a mechanic either....lol

Your Maxima's fuel pump is situated inside the gas tank. The pump is cooled and lubricated by the fuel which passes through it. Running the fuel level all the way down to Empty is a bad practice. Running the pump "dry" is harmful, and the damage does not always show up right away.

You probably used up the reserve gallons of gas, maybe this is why you're having starting issues on "E"

Also as Daniel B. Martin said, this is bad practice ... try not to let your fuel level get too low
