I wanted to do somethin like that with the rear turn signals .... I wanted the rear turn signals to stay on (lite up but not blink) when I turn on the lights ... and blink when I hit the turn signal switch.
I seen it on a civic it looked sick!! BTW is this legal ... havin amber lites on all the time in ur tail lights

I have Amber & Red Parking lights. My Directional is Clear (OLD REVERSE LIGHT) And the Upper outer RED is my reverse lights. (Who Needs that anyway)

 

from what I understand u switched ur outer parking light to the turn signal and the turn signal to the reverse light and the reverse light to the outer parking light ... I didnt want to switch I wanted both parking lights red (inner and outer) and the amber to act as both a third parking light and the directional.
