I was wondering does anyone know how to adjust the throttle linkage…
Will this make the gas pedal feel stiffer and more like a brand new car…

No it won't. But if the throttle cable is worn/stretched, it might be time to re-adjust it. There should be adjusting screws near where the cable come out of it's plastic insulator. Have someone press the gas pedal all the way down. Then manually attempt to move the throttle plate more. If there alot of play between the wot gas pedal and how much you can move the throttle plate, then it should be adjusted. Adjust the cable just enough to take up the slack. What you want to avoid is having the throttle plate go to 100% open BEFORE THE GAS PEDAL IS AT 100%. This will put stress on the cable/throttle plate. You still want a slight amount of slack. If the adjustment is necessary, you will enjoy a noticable amount of throttle response.
