OK... guys!
I know this rich kid who got himself a brand new silver Mercedes E430 from his parents wish to race with mah sorry a$$(according to him) 96 max SE 5-speed.
He said his 4300cc V8 with AMG suspension package plus 5-speed tiptronic will kick mah a$$ so hard I might have to cry driving back home.
I usually laugh at them when people talk such nonsense but right now mah NOS isn't kicking and this is da barnd new V8 powered Mercedes with AMG sh*t!!
Do you guys think my 96max SE w/5-speed have any chance to survive in this race?
When he opened his hood shoot~ the engine sounds fairly strong.. I mean real strong and he has huge AMG wheels w/ Eagle F1 tires all around them... da*n~ even his hood opens up almost 90' angle.
What should I do, guys?
Should I race or come up with some kind of sorry a$$ excuses?
The race is on this Sunday and I ain't got that much time to think about it...

Make sure its a E430 not an E55, I was crushed, I mean seriously crushed by a '55 a few weeks ago. He shifted into 5th gear and blew me away! Otherwise, AMG no longer sells anything for MB besides their own cars, C43, C32, E55, CLK55, CL55, S55, ML55, and my baby, the SLK32. AMG no longer just "tunes".

But I just want to let you guys know that he beat up other rich a$$¡¯s BMW 330is during the sharp corner with his Mercedes.
Despite all his stupid appearances it seems likw he knows how to drive this thing.

With out your NOS the benz is going to be a little quicker. Motor Trend gave it the following #'s.
0-60 = 6.34
1/4= 14.74/97.20

BTW AMG suspension is not a option on E430's. Theres a Sport Package{$4090} which has 17" AMG wheels and a revised front/rear/side facia.

I have seen 0-60 times for E430s from 5.9-6.2 seconds.

borrow some money and get the NOS working or you're gonna lose. emax is right on with those #s My dad has a GS430 which is just a few ticks faster than the E430 and when I race his car, we're dead even until about 65, and then the GS pulls HARD, and If I spray it's maxima taillights for the GS. (and I only have a 50 shot).

 

I can tell you one thing. Good luck! make sure you post what happens. Hey you never know the benz might break down on the starting line and VolA! you won.

 

Dang... never thought about that E430 would be that fast.
My head gasket is in bad shape and therefore I can't use the NOS until I fix the gasket first.
The course has lots of sharp curves and downhills and I don't know whether mah max can handle it.
I'll try mah best & I'll be careful.

Or I could compare the benz with my bike. My bike is about 1/6th the price of the benz, but I would smoke it easily.

I personally do not think my Max can whoop his brand new German high-performance sedan without NOS.
I really hate to race against other guys for a stupid reason but this time it's personal.
If I win this race he would let me use his Mercedes for a week (my max is all I need.. 4 real but he insisted) and if I lost then he could ask my sister out for a date which I'm trying to avoid at any cost.
My little sister is so innocent and she doesn't know anything about this type of jerk.
I told her to stay away from him but they've a same class at the school and he always tried to get near her when I'm not around her.
Anyways, screw the head gasket and I'm going to charge the NOS at tomorrow morning and I will use it to win the race!
I will let you know the outcome at tomorrow night.
If I win the race I will take a pic of his Mercedes parked in my garage.

**** Let's put it this way, you have much better odds of beating him in a race(with an empty NOS bottle, starting off in 5th gear, bricks in the trunk and all your windows rolled down) than you do at an ENGLISH essay writing contest! So sure, go for it.

 

May i kindly point out that he has 275 hp at the crank.........and he WILL NOT have any problems's launching. Prepare to admire the rear end of that Mercedes as it power's out of your reach......unless you are running NOS.

 

I'd make up an excuse, is it worth it to ruin your max by running NOS with a bad gasket and winning, or forgetting back it, and strait kicking his a$$? Skip the middle man, go beat him silly, tell him to leave your sister alone, and keep your max in good shape.

Also don't forget about the MB's 3624 lb curb weight and automagic. This does not meen a stock 96 max is faster then a E430{it's not} but saying it's power is out of his reach is pushing it. It whould be a close for sure, with out NOS.

The curb weight and transmission (which, BTW, is the world's best automatic transmission- almost as efficient as a manual) is irrelevant, since we know that the E430 will run 0-60 in 6 seconds or less all day with that 3600lb curb weight(MB engines become more powerful after break-in, too). So no NA Maxima stands a chance against an E430 if the driver is gonna put the hammer down to the floor.

Make sure you dont get too much wheel spin. if this is his first race, he probably wont really know how to launch an automatic (left foot on brake ,rev a little, let off the brake and slam it), so if you get a good launch you could stand a chance, but dont run your NOS , its not worth ruining a good car , just to keep him from asking your sister out , and if your description of him is right (short buck teeth), your sister is going to say no anyway...even though he has a mercedes...rich ***** ,wtf is up with these rich kids today!!!! i hate rich kids !!!

 

ok ok... I went to the shop early this morning and now my NOS is fully charged! I hate to miss a Sunday service but I guess just for today.
Anyway, he called me last night and now he also wants to race on the highway, too.
I told him big no no because once we go to highway then it's over...I know it & we know it.

You MIGHT get a E430 off the line, but after that it will start pulling on you. Mercedes are really designed to be launch off the line, but rather to pass effortlessly at higher speeds. I believe that the E430 has a 2.82 final gear ratio. If you plan on racing this guy from any type of roll you are gonna lose badly.

 

Did I here you correctly.. No NA max can beat a E430? Thats B.S. Remember 4th gen NA max's have done 14.4,14.5,14.6. BTW most the car's MT tests are allready broken in.

E-430 is one of the world¡¯s finest automobile. No doubt about that.
However, the guy who drives this nice automobile acting like he got some Porsche Twin Turbo or something and that sounded really funny to me.
I don¡¯t have any problems when someone trying to claim their car is the best, but when someone trying to describe your car as ¡°sorry a$$ ride¡± then we¡¯re going to have some serious problem with that.
I don¡¯t care how cheap my ride is but it¡¯s my baby and I love her.
After the racing I¡¯m going to teach him a lesson that money can¡¯t buy.
Maybe he¡¯ll understand when he sees some blood dripping from his nose.
I strongly dislike anyone who trying to show off with their parents¡¯ money and acting like they can do anything with it.
