newbie mods
Hello,
I'm almost done with all the mods to my 20004Runner--Supercharger, headers, intake, etc.--and now I'm ready to tackle my wife's Maxima for when I drive it!
Could you please answer my questions:
1. what are the two mods that get the biggest bang for the buck? (JW Popcharger? Cattman Y-Pipe?)
2. Can I just bolt on the Y-pipe myself?
3. Is the pop charger worth it? too much maintanence?
4. what kind of plugs do you guys replace yours with?
5. how often do you change fuel filter?
6. 84K miles on mine, anything I should know about?
Thanks much,
alpo

1. Yes. Any intake and a Cattman stainless steel Y-pipe is a good bang-for-the-buck mod.
2. Yes. Y-pipes are fairly easy.
3. The JWT Popcharger, as with the other intakes, doesn't require any maintenance other than a cleaning and reoiling every 30K-50K miles (no big deal). An intake of some sort is highly recommended with the Y-pipe.
4. The stock plugs are actually the best.
5. I'm not an expert on the fuel filter. My Nissan specialist does that for me.
6. You shouldn't have any problems. '95s have bad starters that tend to break in the 80K-100K mile range, but I don't know if it's a problem with '96s.
