Hey guys i wanted to know if you could help me out with this. I have a 99 maxima gxe and my A/C only works on level 4, when i put it anywhere else it is just off. I went to the nissan dealer today and they tried changing the *** and they did something under te glove box but it didnt work they said to take it back tomorrow. But if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Did you mean that your AC only works on 4 (i.e. no cold air on any other setting), or that the fan only blows air on 4? If it's the fan, then the blower resistor unit needs to be replaced. If it's the AC, I would check the AC pressure switch and clutch operation.

The blower motor is located just above the passenger's feet. Look at the wires leading away from the blower motor. Just inches away from the blower motor there is an electrical connector located on the air duct. That's the resistor assembly. It is easy to remove and replace.
Replacement is the usual remedy. However, if a spot of localized damage is seen it may be repaired with a soldering gun.
