Ok , i know there has been lots of talk on this subject ( a lot from myself ). Can anyone fill me in on the parts i would need, and how much they all cost ? I am trying to get an idea of how much i am going to have to shell out on this mod, I really want to do it and i want to start saving up for it. Thanks

One weekend, and they had to do some of the work twice because the first 5-speed they installed was broken. They were not veteran home mechanics, either. These guys deserve credit for courage.

i think if i did it , i would take it to the tuning shop near by. They do a lot of custom work and engine swaps and stuff, so they would definitely be able to do it if i took in the parts.

thats true , but i really like my max a lot, and i already did some stuff to it that took a lot of time and everything, so i want to keep mine, if i didnt have much put into it , then i would trade it ,but ive gotten used to mine being the way it is and everything, an i like the paint color and stuff. so i want to keep it

I'll make this short. Get your VB upgraded, and you will beat a 5spd off the line. Race someone who cant shift, and you will win.

See, not so hard

Eh, I think your right.

But, search for a local job first. I personally don't wanna take the freakn thing out myself, ship it (hate trusting UPS) and then putting it back in and wasting all that downtime for 450 !!!

its too much trouble in my opinion to do the auto to 5spd swap, i know you can grow to love your car but it will be a lot better to either trade it in or get the vb upgrade for your auto. just my opinion, take care
