bleeder valve question

After bleeding the brakes I put on the rubber dust caps and noticed something curious. A little bit of fluid and bubbles weeped out of the threads. I noticed that when I pushed my finger over the dust cap, it would happen again. Thinking that perhaps they were not tightened down enough, I snugged them up just a little bit more. I was surprised since they were already quite snug already. I notice that the FSM specifies about 5-6 ft. lbs which seems kind of low. Any comments by anyone?

I read on the speedy valve site that they coat their valves with some sort of sealant. Could my sealant have all worn off? Do the Nissan valves come with a dry sealant on the threads? Did you order new valves from Nissan?
Anyone else experience anything like this?
i took my bleeder valve out, and noticed the threading was stripped. when i would try to screw the valve back on, it wouldnt screw in properly. brake fluid would seep out. i bought a replacement at the dealer for 7 bucks, but they didnt have it on hand. i had to wait 2 days for it to arrive. the replacement(valve) screwed in just fine and no more brake fluid would seep out.
-i did notice some sort of coating on the replacement, its gray in color.
hope it helps.

Daniel, Eric, or others, do you have a comment on this? Do bleeder valves come with a dry sealant on the threads that can wear off with repeated opening and closing?
