WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! i bought an alpine cda-7876 cd player and it doesn't line up with the fatory bracket bought the kit and everything but still no luck has anyone else ran into any problems or am i doing something wrong ??

 

hmm...just describe your situation little bit more.

I know my Alpine 7861 came with a metal sleeve thingy (with all of those weird shapes and cutouts).

That wasn't on when you tried to insert the Alpine right?

And you know the trim cover that goes around the visible part of the HU...you don't need it.

So basically, the HU should fit straight in, without any other accessories. Post back with more. Hope that helps.
