I'm not happy with the Hyper Industries 9004's. The light is white, but beam pattern sucks (on 95 Max). It's seem a little on the narrow side. If anyone wants them you can have them for free or I'll just trash them. They're 85W ones.

I have done a search on the blue visons. Most people seem to like their Philips.

1. How's the beam pattern? Better or equal to stock?

2. How's the color compared to stock fog lamps? Can I get matching philip fogs?

3. How's long have you had them?

4. Is Kmart the best place to get them? Or online somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any input. I just don't want to make another mistake like I did with Hyper.

I'll take the bulbs off your hands. I'm looking for something whiter then what I have.

I'll send you a PM with my address.

So now I have three people that want them. I assume you guys are out of state so I'll probably have to ship it. I'm not paying for shipping so $5 for UPS ground. If interested email me at jhsing56@hotmail.com.

Will have a beam pattern that is just as good as the stock bulbs. The limitation placed on the headlamps is simply the fact that they are HB1s...

The color of the BlueVisions will be "whiter" than that of the stock bulbs.

Philips does make the BlueVisions in H3 for your foglamps.

Assuming that they are installed cleanly, they should last for at least 4 to 5 years before you need to replace them. All bulbs that have a filaments lose intensity as time goes on.

Kmart is the best place to find Philips bulbs. Online, you can find their bulbs at:

It seems like not many places sell the blue visions. Especially the fogs. Where did you get yours?

Got da blues!

I have the phillips blue visions,

1. How's the beam pattern? Better or equal to stock?

Same as stock.

2. How's the color compared to stock fog lamps? Can I get matching philip fogs?

I dont think so. Not heard of any phillips blue fogs. Since yellow is what gets thru fog and blue glares, I'd think that a blue fog light would be a bit goofy.

3. How's long have you had them?

Since last November or so.

4. Is Kmart the best place to get them? Or online somewhere?

Got mine at Pep Boys, $10 each I think.

I like mine. They're no brighter than stock tho. The color is kind of a light blue. The stock ones were kinda grey.

Good luck!

Jack

I went to Kmart and picked up some BV's and put them in yesterday.

Impressions:

Light is a bit whiter than yellow, but still not white or blue. Color is close to my fogs so I'm leaving the fogs alone. The beam is definitely more focused. I believe the blue tint around my old hypers bulbs made the beam blurred and have a narrow beam pattern. $9.88 (for 1) at Kmart for better vision can't be beat. Actually the BV fogs redmax has should be just fine. It's not completely white, so it'll work through fog.

Conclusion:

I will not get suckered into buying those blue bulbs again. They got me with their marketing and fancy packaging. There is no way any standard bulb can simulate xenons. Brighter than stock? Maybe. But I didn't see it. High watt or low watt, they only look good to other drivers and don't really help the driver using it.

That statement's got to be one of the most intelligent things concerning lighting that I've seen here in a long time.

9007s fit in the HB1 housing. I was disappointed (but not surprised) to find that the beam pattern was not improved. I guess that's why I neglected to update here, due to the lack of improvement. I don't have a meter or a real lab, so there isn't a way for me to measure the light intensity, but I'm sure that 10 more watts would yeild somewhat of an improvement. If you want to try 9007s for yourself, simply remove the housing from the car and if you look at the mounting bore for the bulb, you'll notice three little "nubbins" on the circumference that engage the three slots on the 9004 bulb. Two are located on the lower portion of the circumference, and one is located at exactly top dead center. Using a Dremel, I ground away the two lower "nubbins" and left the one at TDC. This allowed the 9007 to fit...real simple. As for a the wiring, I didn't make any notes, but the ground lead is in a different position. When I was lighting the bulbs up, I wasn't using the connectors, I was simply using alligator clips on the leads. Power was supplied via Victor Engineering 120VAC-12VDC (13amps max) inverter.
