i recently had my tranny rebuilt. the tranny guy saw all of my mods and suggested i beef it up a little. he claimed he put in a special tranny and a trans cooler.i can see the cooler behind the radiator so thats part is atlease true.
the tranny guy rebuilt the tranny and road tested it with my heavy *** 17" crome wheels and it shifted fine and strong. about a month and a half later i took off the 17's for the winter and put back on the stock 15" wheels. the car was fast and strong. when i lanched hard off the line the tires would cherp from 1st to 2nd and first gear was so fast and hard( wheel spin for days)and this is a auto.
i went to the local drag strip and did a burnout like never before(alot of smoke) but the the ride home (after spanking a few acura 3.2 tl's and ford SHO's) first gear started to slip. Of course i took the car back to the tranny guy and he said he had to replace the valve body. the car runs great but it does not cherp from 1st to 2nd any more.
it shifts real smooth like. during hard lanch the tires still spin and the 2nd gear rpm drops to about 4500
should i take the car back and complain about the lost of the cherp or is that the way the tranny should have been shifting in the first place. The cherp made me feel like i had a 5speed or some thing.

what should i do guys

and can someone explain to me how a valve body for trannys work.

Thanks fellow maxima lovers

I think that was one of your problems. wheel spin on take off is fine. But chip in first and second in a auto. When a tranny runs hard it will gives out early.
