I have some 6x9s at my parents and plan on driving home for the weekend to try to put them in the rear deck. Do I need to make the opening bigger for the speaker to sit flush under the deck and grille? I don't mind making new holes for the screws but I don't want to cut the metal in the rear deck. Thank you.

no u dont have to make a new hole but the speaker will not be flush with the rear deck, all u do is screw it to the metal part, so most of the speaker is kinda in the trunk, thats how i ahve it.
