I have a 98 gxe thats prewired for factory foglights. The car doesn't come with the switch for the fog lights. How would I add that to the car.

The factory foglight kit comes with the lights, bulbs, relay and replacment light switch stalk. Check the stickys at the top of the page for discount dealers. I have always used Courtesy Nissan and have always gotten great service.

I don't know if this is what he was referring to, but for me, I was wondering how you would install the stalk yourself. I've done a whole array of installs, and I have moderate experience with bolt on mods.

I know I have the confidence to install the fogs, but how do I get the stalk, inside of the car, and onto the signal switch, without any wires showing? Does it have to go through the firewall or something? or does it even work that way?

Thanks.

The stalk is a piece of cake. The directions are in the kit, but IIRC, you just remove the plastic covers around the steering column, unplug the wiring connector for the stalk, then remove the 2 screws holding the old stalk to the steering column. To install the new one, reverse the procedure.

It takes longer to type this than it does to do it.
