I want all the lights on the front to match (or as close as possible). Anyone have a good combo for the headlights, corners, and blinkers? I'm looking for the bright white look, not the blueish look. Any info would be helpfull.

Get Philips BlueVisions in your headlamps (9004) >>

and Philips BlueVisions or Premiums in the foglamps (H3).

I think that the PIAAs match up well, and they are very white.

Oh this is a good one. I've been through about 5 sets of the Super Whites to find the ultimate match. Here's what I wound up with.

Corners = PIAA Platinum Series Super Whites 27Watts - just grind off the tab and put them in 180 backwards to get the high wattage.
Fogs = PIAA Extreams 55Watts. Any more wattage in that small space and they burn out to quick. These have an excellent light!!
And last but not least, after SEVERAL sets of the blue crap super hyper white ZENON junk I wound up with Diamond Blue "HALOGEN" 80/100 watt bulbs from JC Whitney. These lights have a very bright WHITE light. I see no blue on the road at all. This setup is very bright and very white. No blue tint anymore. I've played around with quite a few sets of the hyper white "ZENON" blue junk. Stay away from them the light is not so good and you can't see for $hit in the rain with them. Check out JC Whitney on line and look for the Diamond Blue Halogen bulbs I went for the 80/100 watt bulb, they also have the standard 46/65 Watt as well.

what do you use for the front side marker light (the light below the cornering light)? the front side marker light comes on with parking lights and with the head lights...do these match up well since you have the higher wattage corner light set up??

Just the plain old orange marker bulb. I have the clear lenses in front, they must flash orange in NJ.

Im running PIAAs for heads.
Polargs for clearance and marker lights.

The PIAAs dont match up well with the Polargs which have a more white with blue tint to them. Which is what i want.

I need to find headlights that will match up with the Polargs. If anyone has the polargs and found a brand bulb that matched please post and let me know.

BTW I rewired the clearance lights so that they run at 21W.

APC Superwhites match up with Polargs. I'm running Piaa Platinum bulbs right now. I've had them for four years now. I'm waiting for them to burn out.

looks good, but is that standard 55w? looks to be a higher wattage than stock--the light is quite white (not blue)..

now if only that front turn signal light wasn't amber...

THAT... is what I want... damn, I must have read at least 30 lighting posts....

I have wasted a lot of $ on trying to match my lights up... My headlights are whiter then stock but are still a tiny bit yellow... I have Xenon hyper white clearence bulbs now which are more bluish-white then the headlights... redmax has them PERFECT.....

Redmax, what parking lights are those?????? I didn't find any hyperwhites at any local pepboys/autozones etc.. The headlights look perfect for what I want, just white, no blue... now i need white parking lights... damn, I have definately wasted over 100$ on picking lighting now.

Do they give off a slightly bluish light?

Because I think the parking/clearence Xenons I have right now are the Eurolites and they have just a slight blue in them, nothing bad.. i like it actually, but i gotta make sure everything else matches them.. so do they have some blue?

NYCe,

Those are a combo of Phillips BV HL/Fogs, and those ARE the generic kinds you find at PepBoys. I've been to 2 PepBoys so far and they've both had the bulbs. They should be 1157, dual filament.

the headlights are blue when they shine on something like a wall and when other cars see you coming at them but you as the driver they are not blue....the "middle" of the light pattern is "hypwerwhite, superwhite" and the outter part of the pattern is blue

the park lightsa and side markers have no blue tint at all...they are a clean white and bright...

of cource they are blue when they are off

http://www.aieonline.com

I have had them for a very long time and I really like them...

does the bulb itself look blue? I've been to Pepboys and they have just regular factory replacement clear bulbs, I don't know if those will work like that, I figured they will be like stock so I didn't get them... thanks

I know what you mean, the BlueVisions are like that... they're tinted just enough to get rid of the yellow portion of the light but they aren't tinted so much that they look blue.

You should be able to find the Philips blue vision bulbs at Kmart. I think they are around $9 per bulb, so

Headlights = $18
Fogs = $18

These are estimates, I'm not sure how much the generic 1157's are. Every pep boy's I've seen, I think the 1157s are made by APC.

The APC ones are usually around $6 - 8.

Just Installed Philips Blue Vision

Just Installed them......first impression... Disappointed

I wonder why people claim this as one of the best light bulb in market.............

Is there any break in period for this bulb??
Because....
First,
It's not a lot brighter than my stock... probably just 5% brighter.......I compared them side by side... just now.....

Second,
It's not blue/white at all.... Its still kinda yellow.... like stock...... not much different in color.....

I have the piaa superwhite 9004s and piaa xtreme h-3 fogs. The Piaa xtremes are worth the money, but the superwhite for the 9004 aren't in my opinion.

I've actually purchased a wiring harness and I'm in the process of ordering higher wattage bulbs from www.jcwhitney.com

The wiring harness is really easy to install. You can buy it from lots of places.
www.jcwhitney.com
http://www.autodynamic.com/
http://www.modacar.com/index/
http://store.yahoo.com/dpstore/

The harness cost around $40-50.
