Since I've had my car back in may I've had swirl marks everywhere on my car...I've tried every sort of thing to get rid of them and I thaugt the last thing I did worked
-mothers swirl remover
-meguiars wax
It looked do good even in the sun...nothing not one swirl mark at all...
2 weeks later there back
they were definetly put in by a machine and that probably means I need to have them taken out by a machine too...there not bad since I did hide them..
someone I know went and got there car done for 110$$ at a carwash..they waxed it by hand and it came out perfect
I might go there and tell em to go after the swirl marks..what ya think

like u said you can hide them , but how will you know that they didnt make the problem worse and that they just covered them up. do some research and learn about how it all works find the best place locally and ask em for tips, usually the best places wont be afraid to tell you how u can fix the problem yourself. then go to that place and pay them , thats how i usually go about things may not work for everyone though

I have the same problem with my car and I have had numerous details on it with no luck. It seems that once they are in you can not get rid of them.

How do you put the swirl stuff on? Do you coat the whole car thinly like a wax or just certain areas?Originally posted by matty

My friends brother works at a dealership body shop. He said that the way he gets those swirls out is by using 2000 grit sandpaper, removing the clearcoat (where the swirls are), and then buffing in a special clear coat wax. My friend wanted to try this to my new '98 but I am a little hesitant.
Now this was going to be for free so I don't know how much it would cost. This extreme by most measures..but if this is a priority...
