damn engine light

i was going up to school on the turn pike and my engine light turns on, i have a 95 gle and i looked at the manual and it tells me this stuff about emissions control. anyone have this same problem and knows what to do, thanks

I would check your O2 sensors. I just checked my code. Happened to be the O2 sensor when I added my Y Pipe.

Read the Sticky ECU Diagnostic Trouble Codes. The first post in that thread points you to a site which provides detailed instructions for doing a Diagnostic Trouble Code readout and resetting the Check Engine Light.

Don't curse the CEL. The CEL light is your friend. It is telling you that something is wrong.

Next time you post on this forum make an effort to use capital letters and punctuation. A post which is hard to read is not worth a response.
