I heard that you can put an intercooler on your car with the supercharger to get a little more power and have it run better. Who makes it? How much is it? How much power does it add? Thanks

Yes, an intercooler has the same benefits with S/C as with turbo. It cools the air that has been heated by the compression of supercharging. A cooler charge will be denser and less prone to detonation. For the Max it would require some custom fab since there is no kit, but it has been done successfully in the past.

Can you tell me where you got yours? What company? How much $? How did you get it to fit? Did you get powergains that were worth the trouble? I really dont know that much about the engine compartment of our cars and would love any information you can give.

MadMax95 - I guess so, I hold no grudge.

Go with an Aftercooler, it uses water to cool , is more efficiant, and provides more power then a regular intercooler.......

Aftercoolers or air to water intercoolers for Mustangs from Vortech cost ~$1250.00, plus install and fabrication. You can make a small custom intercooler using a used core from a junk car for, IMHO, under $500 including install.

If you know how I can do an air to water for under $500 I'd be in because they are much better than air to air. But $1200 is 3.5L short block teritory.

TurboMax95 is going to be giving me info on how to rebuild my engine to hold insane boost(12-15 psi) and a 150 shot of NO2. Im expecting to pay around $5000 for it to be done. Another $1300 inst bad. Do you know Vortech's website? Thanks.

Join the club. It appears that maxse91 is following in his footsteps of sarcasm. So, if autozone has it for $30 why doesnt everyone on maxima.org have one?
