I thinking of getting a Y-pipe and removing my cat and resonator. Is this going to **** with the air/fuel mixture because the oxygen sensor will get an "unclean" reading? Can I just disconnect that sensor?

Thanks

The 3rd O2 sensor os their to monitor the performance of the cat, It does not effect open loop operation. You may get a check engine light for a bad cat, I do. No you can not disconnect the sensor.
