Examine the headlight bulb sockets for signs of overheating (scorched or melted appearance). Repair as necessary.

When the headlights fail to turn on, wiggle the column-mounted headlight switch ON and OFF several times. There may be a burned contact in that switch.

Did you install the aftermarket lights with an auxiliary relay? If so, check that relay.

Has the headlight circuit fuse ever blown?

I can almost guarrantee you are burning the stock harnesses out. I recommend getting it checked and if they are burned out and melted get the APC wire harness, easy install and allows higher wattage bulbs. It is 326.46 from nissan to repair the harnesses.. I did it once..

Are you using the 100/80W bulbs on your max?
If yes, then you've to change the harness to havey-duty one and they cost around $30~40.
Shop around...
