Hi! I installed a JWT air intake last week. The sound was great! I was wondering, since I heard that it is a not a genuine K&N filter, what filter is it anyway? Does this filter has any disadvantage over the real K&N one? And can I use the K&N cleaner package to clean the filter? or do I have to use something else. I don't mind buying a new K&N one in the future (like a year later or something). One last question, can I buy a bigger size filter since the cone filter itself is not occupying the whole space after the removal of the OEM air filter box. Thanks!

Not sure what company it may be but mine is genuine...

No disadvantage likely...

If the construction is similar, then the recharge kit should work fine for around $11.00 a set...

Just out of curiosity, did you remove the entire stock airbox assembly or set the JWT inside the lower airbox half? Just IMHO, for aesthetics, any filter much larger and possibly untapered would work fine but not look proportional to the rest of the engine bay...suggestion is leave the big honkin filters for the SUVs.

My guess is that the filter is made by the same company that makes filters for K&N. Yes, you can use the K&N recharge kit with this filter. I do that.

I removed the entire stock airbox. I don't think there is enough space if I don't remove it. beside i need one of the screw hole to install the mounting bar that came with the JWT intake. i'm a newbie, i might be wrong.

You can leave the lower half of the stock airbox in. I did, and the Popcharger fits fine.
