Everyone who has Budget Y's has been happy with them. They are available in 304 and 409 grade stainless steel. No one has reported bee or hissing noises, rather a nice deep girgle, and significant low-end power increase.

I plan to get a Budget Y as soon as I get a lil' more money. Their only like 190-205 dollars. About half the price of cattman and stillen. Not sure about warpspeed, though.

Not too bad huh.

i am very happy with the performance/quality of this pipe. i have been able to run 14.5 twice (at least once everytime i hit the track so far)..14.6's are common for me. the other night i got a best 60' time of 2.18. there is a slightly deeper burble to the exhaust. at part/full throttle i get a barely noticeable hissing sound from the pipe. i sorta want a catback now because the stock exhaust is too restrictive sounding. maybe a custom borla setup would be nice. does anyone have any experience with a borla or flowmaster custom setup?

Damn I thought the Y would be deeper than just "a little". I have a cone pop charger and I thought the Y would be at least deeper in comparison to it. Am I right ? I am looking for people other than myself to notice the deeper girgle.

My impressions of Y pipe after 4 days......

Idle:

When you first start it you hear a slight difference I would not say it is a deeper sound it just sounds a little sportier especially when you gas it.

WOT

You hear a hissing noise not loud at all, just sounds like increased air flow.

Throttle response is much better low end is better it is worth the investment. The speedometer especially in the mid range 60-85 moves very quickly.

TOO BAD I have an automagic. I also have a K&N Filter and custom CAI.

It all depends also on what that person considers to be a little. For you it might be more less wahtever. Hard to tell.

Budget Exhaust

$196 delivered?

I went to their site, and it says $275 for the aluminized version. I'd probably pay $196. How did you get that price?

non mandrel y-pipe

Our non mandrel y-pipes are 195$, included are a lined flex, which is not (my understanding) used on the Budget pipes. Our parts are made in the USA, assembled here, by Dallas or Spike (other brother). We have them in stock, ready to go. Check our site or call Dallas at our 800 #. listed in signature.

the pop-charger is still louder that the ypipe i think. it barely makes any added noise! its 98% stock sounding. the intake roars above it by far!

304 Steel lasts longer. For those salty winter conditions. If you live like in Florida, get 409. Both will outlast the length of you owning your car.

Daaaaaaaamnet !! Ah i guess the Y's werent all I thought they would be.

Ahh I forgot that warpspeed has those low prices too. Geez stillen and cattman...400 bucks for a bent peice of steel...WHY !?!?

Hey guys would a B-Pipe increase nice noise depth ? I'd pay like 30 bucks for one if so.

ok here's my 2 cents... i have a hks intake in my car. and as far as i know, it is probably the loudest sounding intake that i have heard so far... even when i got my exhaust installed, at about 2.5-3k rpms, you would hear the exhaust, but past that it was all intake. thats the only thing that you could hear. once i installed my y pipe, the sound of the intake was there, but along with it was the sweet growl caused by the y and though all rpms all u hear is the y coupled with the intake, but more of the y pipe's sound. its nice, but i guess it tends to get a lil annoying when ur cruising at around 70-75mph. hope that helped!

i have the 304SS one. the guy told me that it is more brittle, but i think that it's up to the task of handling the maxima. i have a 1yr guarantee anyway. 409 will last just as well and flex a little too which is good for the ypipe section, but i still chose the higher quality 304SS. hope it helps.

here's the last thing I'm going to ask before I buy either a Budget, Warpspeed, Cattman, or Stillen Y-pipe... Who's Y-pipe will give me the most low-end power that my catback exhaust has somewhat taken away (The cat back caused a slower RPM rise from 700 to about 3100 RPM but after 3100rpm my RPM's climb fast as hell. Which one would help the best with low end?

Oh yea... from all the responses I've had, my Stillen Hi-Flow Intake is the loudest so ha... lol... we are going to have to have a sound match between ur HKS and my Stillen... anyone want to start taking bets?

Other people are saying that their Y's are loud and give deep rumble...more so than a pop-charger. Other's say they sound 98% stock ? Wtf ? Well anyways, I hope they have that depth.

one thing i love about the cat-back is that at low rpm it's loud but very low tone... but once i floor it the sound almost cuts off out of the exhaust and all you hear is the screaming of my intake. i wonder wat the y-pipe will do to that.
