Why is it that so many people hate on Maximas? Every one of my friends makes fun of my car constantly. Then, when I spank every single one of them in my 4th gen, they still give me sh*t. I even burned my friends turbo eclipse, and still my Maxima gets hated on. Why are so many people so dumb?

 

they're just jealous that you have a nice big roomy car that zooms and they got a little p.o.s.

 

I don't necessarily get hated on, but people underestimate the car all the time. Most people I know like maximas, but they dont think of them as a car to be modded, like we do. They just think of them along the lines of a Millenia or the like, a nice car.

Here's a funny story, I went to a small local car show, and was going to show the Max. It was sponsored by a Dodge/Honda dealership, so 99% of the cars were Mopars and Hondas. When I drove up I told the lady "I'm here for the show." She was like "you're showing THIS?" I just chuckled and was like "YEAH I'm showing THIS, is that OK?" Just because I didn't have some 7 second tubbed 426 hemi with chutes on the back, or a slammed to the ground Honda, she apparently didn't think I belonged there.

 

Many, Many people have hated on my Maxima. Few know it's capabilities. I'll tell you what...one time I went to AAMCO to ask about a 5spd conversion. Well when I told the guy, he goes "well this car isn't made for speed or racin' anyway" "It's a WASTE of money"...That idiotic comment just made me wanna say WTF arent you supposed to KNOW something about cars you old peice of ****!!

You know why ? It's becuase Nissan geared it towards the FAMILIES as well as the Sports-Fanatics. So alot of people sign if off as a mazda or accord.

The Maxima is one of the best all-around cars with the best throttle response of any car i've driven. The Maxima has the best bang for your buck.

Just be happy your chances of living longer are greater driving a Max than some 8 second turbo tin-can civic.

 

Test drive the new Altima..you will forget the max.

 

they hate maximas because they realized they arent satified with there 4 cylinder rice box.

if you think about this in their point of view, I can see why they maximas,

before they race you they'll think : they think its a family car that is not ment to be race, just to carry kids around and it doesn't look good so whocares not like it can do beat my car...


after you burned them: they'll HATE YOU because you just burned a integra or whatever a sporty car with a gorcery getter in their mind, isn't that imbrassing to them?

Man, who cares what other people think. For me, I don't give a **** what they think. I never had anyone saying to my face that they hated my car. I would get dirty looks from time to time, so this is what I do: I point to his car and


I don't hate any people's car, but some riceboys out there just cracks me up. (i.e.flamingo accord at my school.)

Hey, every person spanked is a new believer. I raced this guy from work's 01 Beetle Turbo 5spd and blew him away. Afterwards, he said he coudln't believe that the Maxima was this fast. He had to come over the next day and give me props. Its funny, when I'm driving with my girl in her 95 240SX, everyone wants to race, its a 50/50 chance that I might win, but when I drive the maxima, which smokes her 240sx, noone ever wants to run. Damn.

 

Speaking of civics. My neighbor got a slamed, hooked to the A S S honda. Cant call him "rice" cause he runs high 14s.
