I can get 17x7 Konig Tantrums w/ 225/45Z Nitto 450s as a combo deal for $952. Seemed like a darn good deal to me, what say you?

Those are too small. Get 17x8 with 235/45ZR/17.

17x8's will fill the well a bit better.....

....but eventually you'll wish you got 18's, then when you do, you'll wish you got 19's, then dubs, and so on. Then you'll lose a race and wish you still had the stocks on.

Nevermind all that, 17x7's are ok, its up to your finances. If you can afford the 17x8's go for it.

Get 18x8.5's and wrap em w/ 255/35 18's. I have 17x7's w/ 225/45's and they don't fit the well as good as they should. Don't get smaller than an 8" wide wheel though.

Tirerack has Borbet Type S or Type E (17x8) for $169 each. Add Kuhmo Ecstas 235/45/17 and you're looking at a killer combo for under $1100.

Borbets are tough rims.

See those guys telling you to get 17x8 235/45 listen to them they are right. That 225 is going to look like crap wheels going to look small save some more money and get 17x8 you ll be more happy with the outcome trust me you will. If not later on youll be like dam I should have listened to them dudes who told me to go with that 17x8 and the 235/45 18 is well worth the money. Heck I have 18x8 245/40 18 clik on my profile. see the pics
