Sugestions for which 12V source to hook up INDIGLO pedals to...

I got me some INDIGLO racing pedals,

and need to hook it up to a 12v source.
I was thinking either cig lighter, battery, fuse block...

Where would be the best place to hook them upto?
The pedals come with a red & black wire.
When making suggestions plesae indicate if the 12v source
has those clored wires and if not, let me know which color wire at that source is ground(black) and which is power(red).

thanks.

Wire them into the circut for your tail lights, just tap into the wires behind the fuse block with some quick connects. I forget the color of the wire, but it's not that hard to track down once you pop out the fuse block. Just attach the black wire to any semi-serious looking bolt to ground it.

use the power from the cig lighter, it's ignition switched and easy to get at. then just ground the black wire to the chassis.

Just run the wires to the fuse box...

...U know the one you always knock off with ur knee when you get out of the car. Or maybe its just me. Anyways some fusses will be spares, like 3 or so I forget. Just stick the wire in then the fuse back in.

My radar is like that, positioned on the dashboard dead center. The wire runs through the defrost vent, and through the dash to the fuse box to a spare fuse. The windsheild wipers are lowered all the way, so the radar can see clear.

Dude, just hook the wires up to the dimmer switch, the red is positive and the black is ground. I think the dimmer switch is the easiest one to get to.

wow, so many differnt suggestions/ideas...where do i begin...

My thoughts:
-Cig lighter...kinda hard to reach cuz u gotta pop off the dash around the gear and stuff.

-dimmer...sounds like a cool idea since its pretty easy to just pop it off.hmmmm is it safe and good idea?

-fuse block...might go with that [I got a radar myself - Valentine1 - the best radar on the market, but i ain't living that baby on my dash overnight especially in NY and hooking it up to the fuse block]

-light switch...not really sure where those wires run.

-no one suggested battery? too far? going to make underhood look messed up?

i'll have to think some more. but thanks for you help guys, and keep the suggestions coming.

Make sure you tap the power source from the dimmer control.
It's BLUE wire not RED!! and ground it to the metal surface of your MAX and not to your dimmer ground!
You can buy the 3M connector at your local homedepo.
Just trying to help!

Why do i need a 3m connector?
Wouldn't i just splice the blue wire, connect it to my device red wire, and then connect my device black, ground wire to a metal surface somehow(ex.bolt)?

When you tap the wire using the right connectors often make job a lot easier and sometimes more secure in a long run.
Using 3M connector is optonal and you can always splice the wire and get the same result.

**** Oh man Brigboy! You had me cracking up for 2 minutes!!! I thought I was the only one! That is just too funny. LOL

**** Yup, that's how I did my radar detector and P.A. And put the ground on that bid brass bolt that's above all the fuses.

**** Yup, lowered mine too.
