Rubber Antenna?

i just had a new deck installed in my 4th gen max. Every time i turn on the damn thing, the antenna goes up... regardless of wether or not the radio is on. When i had the Bose deck in there the antenna would only come up when you had it on radio, but not when you had it on cd or tape. I asked the place that installed it for me, and they told me that there is nothing they can do.

Anyway, i have seen a max somewhere here on the forum with a plastic or rubber antenna (about a foot in length... kinda like the one on the S2000). I was just curious to see if any of you guys know where i can purchase one, and if installation is going to be difficult? Do i have to take out the little motor that pushes up the stock antenna, or is it just a screw on type deal? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

When you put the new deck in, there would have been a wire that you hooked up to the amp signal wire ( the one that tells the amp to turn on and off. Im not sure if this will work but what about a switch in line with this wire. that would mean you could put the aerial back down when you wanted? Mayme a factory switch mounted in a spare hole?
Just a thought
