I drove one of these the other day... it wasnt bad...
I drove an older 96 too... the interior was rattle free... I was kinda surprised an american sedan felt so solid.... I drove another 96 too it as also rattle free it even had like 78000 miles on it...
anyhow, im dilemmaing... Ican afford a 98 low mileage one of these... but barely afford a 97 SE wiht bose...
i dunno, it has a 250 horse V8

It may not be your father's Oldsmobile, but it's still an Oldsmobile...

Just kidding, man. If that's what you like, that's what you like (or, better said, if that's what you like for what you got to spend, then...). I've had some friends with Olds (but not the Aurora specifically) who had lots of problems. The Aurora V8 is supposed to be pretty cool engine though. Personally, I'd skip a few meals at McD's and save up for the SE. I didn't even mention anything about the automatic vs 5 spd...

Is that an Aurora? The early years had lots of bad problems. I would be reluctant to purchase one of those.

Euugh....front wheel drive, midsize american sedan with a tiny V8...kinda like that POS Taurus SHO
Dude, regardless of that fact that it has a V8, you'd be much better off with a max (then again, I'm just biased against American cars)

Nice when they are working.

I had an oldmobile about 3 years ago (a Delta 88). I think they make nice engines but when you start having problems, it seems like the problems don't stop.

I raced an aurora about a year ago. From the start he punched it, and I didn't. I missed my shift going into second but then really punched it. By the time I shifted into third he was still 3 feet behind my rear bumper.

Well, that POS SHO(earlier models) had an excellent Yamaha engine in it, it's about the only thing that it had going for it. Now they're gonna can the SHO due to a lack of sales. Going to a small V8 after that beautiful V6 was the end anyways for that car!

Peice Of Sh**

That car is a peice of crap. My aunt and uncle have a 96 model nothing but problems. The biggest disadvantage is that if you turn your head to look out the window the door post is in the way so you cant see any cars. The molding is starting to fall off, alot of the wheatherstriping is also ripping and dry rotted. My aunt and uncle take great care of there cars too. The only really good thing is the german like rear seat. It handles good but is a front heavy slush box.

SOMEONE got a little carried away with the Photoshop!!!! It looks like the rear wheel is up the *** of the passenger in the right rear seat!! I like the shaved brake lights, though, that looks sweet.

And I will deny this in a Maxima court of law, but I'd buy a clean 95 SHO any day. Get one of those if $$ is an issue: cheaper than a Max and a lot of car...
