i raced one, but didnt finish the race cause i had to exit the highway, but we were even for like 8 seconds and my car is very slow compare to other 4th's.
good luck.

i test drove a 5speed is300 the other day and I know for a fact my max could either stay right with it or take it.. i have intake, ypipe, and exhaust.. that car is not that fast at all.
looks damn cool tho

i was the one who beat my friend out. this is the post:

now, he had an auto, with the triptonic crap, that he says he used. he let me drive it, the triptonic is pretty fun to mess with, although it is no where near as good or as fun as a regular manual shifter. it only lets you shift down to second gear. the shifts feel like an automatic also(which makes sense...). it handles pretty good, it's fun to throw around and see what it can do. it has a sensor on it though, that stops you from spinning out, although it's pretty easy to bypass if you floor it while turning... it's a fun car, but kinda small. and well.... my STOCK max (with crappy tires) beat it.

If you have intake & exhaust (assuming your auto) and he is stock, you will get him. If he is modded as well, it will be close.
I raced a stock IS300 when i only had a CAI and got him by a car from 0-75mph.
I have seen a few run @ a local track. Stockers were running 15.8-15.7.
So watch out though since they are tinkering with a TT setup for them. They are now well supported in the aftermarket world.
