Best Window Cleaner???
Best Window Cleaner???
Lately I noticed I have a thick film on the exterior of my windows. I tried to clean in with windex, but that didn't seem to work. Does anybody know of any good products that could remove this film??? It's wierd because it's not greasy, it feels somewhat rough.

I use a powdered cleanser called Bon Ami. You can buy it at the supermarket and it's cheap. I paid 79 cents for the can. Here's how to use it:
1. Wet down the windshield / window
2. Dampen a sponge and sprinkle some Bon Ami on the sponge
3. Scrub away on the glass. The Bon Ami will turn from powder to a pasty substance that will lightly polish the glass.
4. Rinse with water. You might want to sponge down the windshield to ensure that you remove all the residue.
You won't believe how clear your glass will get and your wipers will work better as well as the surface will be smoother.
I've used this stuff on my Maxima, my wife's minivan, my old Jeep, and all the Police Cruisers in my department and it's awesome. Much clearer view, better wiper operation, and for the price you can't beat it.

I do make certain that I rinse down the glass thoroughly afterwards, and I usually do this right before I wash the car.
I use the Bon Ami stuff twice a year when I'm getting ready to detail my car. I wet down the car, use the Bon Ami on all the windows & windshield, then wash the car and then polish & wax the paint.
Someone submitted a review at MaximaProducts on Stoner Invisible Glass. It's a spray and wipe window cleaner. Says it works well.
