Trim on the door of the car....

I want to take of the trim/molding that is on the outside of all four doors. Has anyone done this. Is it hard?? If I attempt to take it off, will any paint peel off with it?? I am guessing it is jus tliek the trunk letters, but I am not sure so I want to ask before i do it.

Thank you in advance, Tom

Its very easy just peel it off.. I did it in about 5 minutes.. you need some mineral spirits to get the glue off though.. be sure to wash it off then put wax on it immediatly.

Re: Trim on the door of the car....

There are holes under there. You remove the molding, the holes are exposed. Body shop has to fill them. It's a $600-$800 job. They have to fill and repaint all 4 doors. I had it done when I repainted my car. Not something you can do at home.

Maybe he misread what you were saying and thought you were talking about your trunk. I pulled the trim once myself thinking there were no holes, but there are.
