i jus got a 99 maxima gxe about a
month ago for $13k with 21k miles.
was that price about rite?

 

'98 gxe in '98 for 18.5...i think my kbb value is around 11k, so 13k for a 99 sounds right.

 

Mine was about 26-27k when I got it new.

Plain Jane ('99 GXE) was bought new in January '99 for $16,620 including destination charge.

 

Hearing that, I feel like I got ripped off because I think I got the most plain jane car available ;just like you did.

 

bought my 98 SE 5spd w/60k for 14.5 yesterday. maybe a little high, but i got it at a dealer, and was having a hard time finding a local car (Portland, OR) with a 5 speed and in a decent color that wasn't beat up.

Yes, in my area in May '99 it was as follows:

Brand new Bare-bones GXE:

5-speed (manual antenna) 16,900 including destination

Slushbox (what I got, but included a power antenna and floor mats) 17,900 including destination

Some days the wifey wants a 5-speed, some days she's happy with the slushbox.

I wish we had gotten the 5-speed.

 

Purchased my base 1998 Maxima Se 5 speed with 4 miles for $19,400.

 

Dammit! That's what mine was. Nissan pulled a fast one on me for not selling the car to be for 0 profit to them.

I'm feeling ripped off right now... 98s and 99s for 16K? geez.

My GXE 5 speed was $9000 in January of this year with 89K miles.

 

I got my 99GXE in April for about $18K (my loan is for $16,600 and I put down $2K) oh and I traded in my 91. The car had 44K miles when I bought it and I have a 100K mile warranty.

 

got a 97 GXE with convience package and sun roof two months ago. 33k. $13,500. perfect condition. even came with a handycap sign that put on the rearview mirror. (i know, i know, it was driven by some old people, a 4 year old car with only 33k)

 

paid $15,700 w/ 38k miles. Bought it in April.

98 GXE superblack auto, CC package (?) power seat, power antennae, factory alarm.. sunroof.. 57k miles. 10,300$.... 11,500$ with tax, auction, dealer fees, plates etc.. This was 2 months ago.

I thought I got a good deal, but I've been seeing some even crazier deals lately. 97 SEs for 9-10k with 60k miles.

 

That worries me.

I got my 1997 GXE 1 year ago (Sept. 2000) with 32k for $16,400.

I got a spoiler added, and the car was in excellent condition.

What do you all think?

just bought mine in april... 95 SE 5 spd, fully loaded, with 90K when i bought it, for just under $9000 after my downpayment... kind of high mileage, but it was what i wanted... and the lady at the bank was tryin to talk me out of it, but now im glad she didnt, i LOVE this car!!

 

$23K canadian w/ 70,000Km for my car. Was a lease vehicle driven by a 60 year old...im surpised he drove a 5 spd.
....I hate these $700 monthly payments :P (insurance costs included of course).

 

I bought my baby in December of 2000. A broker helped me find her and thank God it didn't take too long. I paid $17k (private party) with the car having close to 35k miles on it. For a '99 I thought the mileage was pretty high, but he assured me it was all highway driving... yeah right. He did keep all records and the car was in beautiful condition. I could tell he loved this car. In fact, he still continues to call me to ask about it. Fortunately for me, he had just bought another house and couldn't afford the payments anymore. I know one thing... He aint gettin' it back!
