Will 14" rims fit?

Will 14" rims fit?
Dont laugh... I'm considering getting 14" rims to mount drag slicks for the front so the car will be geared tighter to put the car into its peak HP in 4th gear in the 1/4. I know 15" will probably be better, cause theres more rim choices. I want to get really wide slicks. Our 5x114.3 pattern is great cause alot of domestics use that pattern too, as 5x4.5". Anybody know what the proper "backspacing" is to mount really wide drag rims? I'd get like 255 50 15 or so slicks. I can see here the ideal for the Sarona designs wide fender kit, to cover up some ridiculously wide rim. Longer wheel studs may also be needed but thats not much of an issue.

Yup. Manufacturers tend to use the smallest wheels they can use that'll fit over their brakes. Keeps their production costs low. For us, that'll be 15s.
