auto down power windows other than the driver's

has anyone tried putting the auto down feature of the driver's window on any other window? from the looks of the switch assembly, an "AUTO" button could probably be put in any of the other 3 locations without too much trouble. i imagine it takes more than a new button to make this work, anyone have the details?

I think a company called 'Auto Loc' (sp?) might make something for this. I don't recall anyone using stock parts to make this work. However, it doesn't seem like it could be that hard to rig up.

Yes. I thought it was standard for both front windows to go down on all the cars that have this option (all the 4th gens)?

Freaky, on my 98, only the driver's side has an auto down. i wonder if i swapped in an auto switch to the passenger switch on the driver's door controls if it would just work.

they both go down with the auto down feature on the key, if that means anything...

I'm sorry. I mistakenly thought you were talking about the key this whole time (even tho you didn't mention anything about the key, I just assumed)
With the key mine controls both front windows....from the window control panel inside the car only my driver window has an auto down. I think this is standard on all 4th gens.

A few months ago I emailed them asking some questions before I was ready to buy. Never got answered. Maybe better to call them.

This is definately doable!

I did this to one of my friends Civic for the front passenger window. And it works really well. We got the module from Autoloc.com Click here for more info. It is cool because it is one touch up and down. I too got this unit and want to do my sun-roof but i am just too lazy to do it...well try it out if you guys want and let us know how this works. I also have a friend who did this to all his windows....

With this module we don't need to install another switch, just use the factory switch right? If so the other three original switches are one-stage switches, not like the one for front driver's window (auto down). If one push or pull makes window all the way down or up, how do I stop the window between full open and close? Another quick push or pull in the other direction of the window motion?
Thanks.

Well this may be a little of your topic but didn't autoloc.com have an upgrade that allows all 4 windows come down with the remote. I remember seeing it on this forum last year...?

You would need to have a new board designed. . . You could add an auto button to it, but it wouldn't do anything as it wouldn't be switching anything on the board.
