Is it required to reset the ECU?

Is it required to reset the ECU?

after installing JWT intake, do i have to reset the ECU? and if i was to install the Random Tech. cat, do i have to replace the Y and B pipe line? and reset ECU too?

i'm not sure if it's mandatory, but it can't hurt.

What does resetting the ECU do for the car. Does it put the idle adjustments back to factory spec??

Sorry to dig the Old post up but I wanted to find a HOW to on "How to reset the ECU" I found this but the link is NFG.... Can anyone help me out here, either post a link to where I can find this or post how to do it...

At least I tried and did the search B 4 I posted this question..!
