Redline MT-90 or MTL for Minnesota?

I'm ready to change to Redline manual trans fluid in my '97 SE 5spd. Should I get MTL (75w80) or MT-90 (75w90)? I live in Minneapolis.

I think you'll find the answer to your question here;

http://www.redlineoil.com/redlineoil/mtlti.htm

MTL and MT-90 are both GL-4, what our tranny requires. MTL is a bit better suited to cold weather, which I think your issue may be about.

When I asked...

I sent an e-mail to their tech department and they said to use MT-90. Are you doing this soon? I hope to be doing it this weekend in mine.

Yeah...want to do it this week, just need to decide which one. Next week the forecast is 45 high. Getting cold out in the garage soon. Where are you? I know the MTL would be fine for the next 6 months (ouch!) but come summer, don't want to have to change.

Did that include shipping?

They say free shipping, but charged me a $6.75 handling fee. So my total was $46.50. There was a note saying possible "hazardous material fee may apply", but I don't see any other charge. Just got back an order confirmation.
