What exactly does a heavy duty clutch do? Is it worth it?

Does it even make sense to go to a Stage II when I am only running intake and exhaust?

Please respond quick! My clutch is just about dead!

I think heavy duty is just for major boost or major NOS. ACT stage two is suposedly good (According to product reviews on maximadriver.com) it engadges smooth and holds i think 350ft/lbs of torque

i would go with the jwt...they have a nice pressure plate. the cost is 325.00, thats what "I" would do. i am not telling u what to buy, just letting u no what i would get.

I have a Centerforce Gold Series clutch, which is a good upgrade over the stock piece. It'll take care of everything short of an SC or NO2. Easy pedal effort, and about 30% more grip, according to their literature. Make sure you also get a new throw-out bearing and pilot bushing to go with the new clutch, no matter which brand you end up with. Also, you should have your flywheel resurfaced at the same time. Any new clutch should have a "virgin" surface on the flywheel to begin with. While you have the flywheel off, you might even consider replacing it with an aluminum model that is lighter, which allows your engine to rev quicker. I think Unorthodox Racing has one for the Maxima if you're interested... Good luck.
