Just bought the silver emblems to replace on my 95 SE, had the gold package. What is the best type of adhesive remover to take off the old adhesive so that I can replace with new chrome emblems. It has to be safe for the paint so it won't damage it. Thanks in advance.

I removed my rear emblems on my '99 Maxima and I used wd-40 to remove the glue on the paint. I don't think that the wd-40 will harm the paint at all and it works great. I just made sure not to leave the wd-40 on the paint for long periods of time by spraying with water. Good luck!

easy to do

all u have to do is heat it with a blowdrier so it melts the tape and then just use dental floss to go between the embelem and paint, its real easy... then just rub off the excess glue, i just sprayed some bug and tar remover on it and washed car and all the excess glue came off

Is the gold emblem still in good shape? I need the gold emblem on my 96 max to be replaced. Now the "M A X I M A"
gold emblem worned of. (Half silver and gold, looks terrible). Let me know if it's available and if not, does anyone have any ideas to get one for cheap? This placed on queens blvd wanted 200 installed. (I WALKED OUT)

THANKS

WD-40 don't work that great..

I used it, wasn't too good so I busted out a hair dryer as well, then it came off pretty easily. Dental floss, WD-40 and a dryer is your best bet ..
