My 98SE which I bought new, hit 100K last night.

I can't believe my car already has 100K on it. I was travelling on Interstate 81 during this majestic moment.

For everyone's reference, here's what I went through :

3 sets of tires
PCV valve replaced
1 set of brakes, front and rear
Tranny flush at Jiffy Lube.
1 set of front rotors
1 battery

Problems : no problems whatsoever

What I plan to replace for 100K tuneup.
The 2 drive belts
automatic transmission flush
spark plugs are still good
brakes are good

Are there anything else I should do?

I almost forgot. For all lurkers, read this post.

If anybody's contemplating whether you should get a Maxima or not, well, people think my car is brand new because it's clean inside and out and the car drives like new. But when they see my odometer, they're like, "Is that hundred thousand or ten thousand?"

Maxima is a very good car, and I've been fortunate to not have any major components break down.

My 100K engine does not consume a single drop of oil either. I love the VQ.

Awesome

It is nice to see that I have the same car that I just recently bought and can tell that based on your story I should be in for agood ride. I hated my last car that once it hit 100K it just fell apart basicly. Glad I got a Max.

Congratulations!

Rule of thumb:
The man who drives moderately and maintains meticulously during the first
100K is rewarded with reliable service during the second 100K.
The man who abuses his car and neglects maintenance during the first 100K
doesn't get a second 100K.

Best wishes for another 100K. Enjoy the ride!
