Does anyone know if there are any actual differences between a manual tranny for maxima and an I30? Would they be interchangeable? Also would it be possible to put a tranny with lsd in instead? Any info on these questions would be appreciated.

 

The transmissions are interchangeable. Some I30 5-speed trannies have a Viscous Limited Slip Differential. Some Maxima.Org members have bought used VSLD trannies (not easily found) and installed them in Maximas.

 

Cattman is supposed to be selling a Quaiffe (don't know if that's spelled right) lsd for the Max's, so I would assume it would work on the I30. It's fairly pricey.
