I'm in Southern California (Orange County)
Before I had the springs installed, I asked around for some prices, they ranged from $80-$300. I bought my H&R's and Tokicos used for $300, so I just laughed at the latter offer. I think anything less than $120 is good. Considering the springs cost $200.

Spring Installation...
Well, I got me springs installed for free (I love connections), but that doesn't help you so here goes. I called a heap load of shops. Some nationwide places quoted me $600, and said the job was very difficult on a Maxima. This is a load of b*ll****. It is JUST the same as doing it on a Civic so DON'T PAY MORE! Most of the local performance shops quoted me around $250, however one fair place quoted me $130. I would assume that anything under $150 is fair if not a good deal. Don't forget you will also have to get an alignment which will run you about $40-$60. However, Firestone has a Lifetime Alignment program for $110, under which you can get as many alignments on that car as you want any time. I think when I got it for $110, it was on special from $140. The point being if a shop quotes you around $200, ask them if it includes an aligment. If it does, then it is probably worth it as well. Have fun, and make sure you don'y pay more than what you did for the equipment!

hmmm the first time they got me good
Well the first time I ever dropped my car was with Eibachs they charge me $500.00. they got me good $175.00 for installation. Yes indeed from that day on I knew it was on to do my own sh.. on my own and thats the way it has been. I lowered it twice and installed the koni adj by myself. And to install springs is not hard at all just time consuming thats it. If you have a buddy help you is even easier.

listen the springs usually have their name brand in the middle in the spring and you can guide yourself with that therefor you dont install them upside down. As far as shocks go Tokicos is not the way to go KYB or Konis adj is your best investment. take care Jaime

Great idea and motivation to go and do it yourself
see is not that hard to change out your springs. Just time consuming and actually if you have your buddy help you is even faster. Hey sprint max where did you rent or buy the sprint compressor?

Here's a stupid question. Don't the tighter and closer spaced coils sit at the top on progressive rate springs? That's the way my Suspension Techniques springs were installed. What confused me was that the Intrax springs had the writting upside down therefore leading you to believe that the tighter coils sat on the lower spring perch.

well on my car the new dropzone springs they are like the intrax the tighter coils sit on the bottom like the intrax. I called the company and asked them which is top and bottom and he said it didnt matter if I had installed them backwards. But no that is not a stupid question there is no such thing as a stupid question, not everyone is mechanically inclined. But as soon as you see how much money you spend paying people you will trust me very very fast.
