maf sensor

when you guys replace the factory filter with a stillen air intake,
do you have to put the maf sensor back in that intake, or just let it
lying outside the filter?

Some people told me to just let it lying outside the intake.

thanks.

The MAF is located inside the tubing that you attach the Stillen velocity stack to. Be very careful w/ the MAF. I hope, and think, you are really asking about the ambient air temp. sensor which if you've ordered the right intake for your year MAX should have a place for this sensor on the silver endcap that has stillen's logo on it. If yours' doesn't then yes, usually people just put it somewhere near the filter. Hope this helps. Also, go to Maximadriver.com and click on their how2 link - it has detailed instructions w/ pictures there. Good luck.
